You’re probably here because you’re looking for ShihPoo puppies for sale in Dearborn. Well, you are in luck! For more than 20 years, our nursery has been dedicated to nurturing ShihPoo puppies for people in Dearborn! We are Michigan Puppy and we love finding homes in Lansing for the cute, fluffy, non-shedding Shih Poo puppies we raise! We raise them all at our homestead in central Michigan. We’ve found homes for a number of our Shih Poo’s in Dearborn and would love to find homes for more.
We’re a family and we’ve been raising puppies since 2004. We love it! By we, I mean myself, my wife, our four children, and the puppies. My wife and I love it because it’s something we can do together. Our kids love it because they get to play with super-cute puppies every single day and the puppies love it because, well, puppies love to be played with!
ShihPoo puppies are excellent cuddly companions and are sometimes called “Shoodles”. They are a cross between the Shitzu and Toy Poodle breeds and inherit the best traits of both breeds. They are small, usually, 5-16 lbs, and usually have fairly curly, fluffy coats but can have straighter coats depending on the parents. They are considered hypoallergenic and will shed very little if any at all making them great for smaller homes and apartments.
They are intelligent, friendly, active, and fun to play or snuggle with. They are usually good with kids but because these dogs are very small it is easy for kids to accidentally injure them if they are not used to smaller dogs. They do need regular haircuts and shampoos to keep their coats clean and shiny.
Given their size they are also a perfect fit for living in condos, apartments, or homes with small yards. ShihPoos are well suited for life in the city of Dearborn.
