"Designer puppies" are a mixed breed dog or in other words a cross of two purebred dogs. Designer dogs are generally bred together to achieve a very specific look or purpose. Yes, designer dogs do tend to be a little healthier than their purebred counterparts. This is due to their combined genetics, and a larger gene pool.

Shichon puppies are sometimes called “teddy bear dogs” or “Zuchons”. Our family loves raising Shichon puppies and we have them for sale right here in central Michigan. We have the best puppy parents and our children play with them every day.Shichon puppies are a cross between the Shitzu and Bichon Frise breeds. They are small, usually 10-15 lbs, and have super fluffy coats which make them look bigger than they are.Shichons are sweet, friendly, happy, and fun to play or snuggle with. They usually like kids and are quite playful which can be harder to find in smaller dog breeds. They do bark occasionally which is pretty common in smaller breeds like this. They need to be groomed regularly to avoid coat matting. Keep their coats trimmed and brushed and check their eyes and ears for debris regularly.Because Shichon's love being around people, they tend to not do well when left alone for longer periods of time. Consider taking them with you when you're out and about and they'll be happy as can be.For smaller living spaces and apartments that you’ll find in some Michigan cities like Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Grand Rapids, Shichons are a great option and wonderful companion!
