Jack
the
Morkie

We lost our previous dog, a fabulous eight-year-old Chorkie, to cancer over the summer, and my wife and I were not sure we were ready to move forward with a new dog. We checked a couple popular puppy sites and received responses that made us nervous – cash up front, no refunds, no AKC certifications and no ability to meet our potential dog ahead of time.

Then we came across Michigan Puppy and found Jack, a gorgeous Morkie. We spoke with Herman at Michigan Puppy and we were immediately put at ease with his demeanor, kindness and professionalism. We made arrangements for a meet-and-greet with Jack and put down a nominal deposit. We made the two-and-a-half-hour drive on a Saturday – Herman even called us while we were driving to make sure we were okay – and when we arrived, we were immediately impressed with the puppy “show room,” where one-on-one introductions happen. Michigan Puppy is run very professionally. We were presented with Jack’s veterinary history, immunization record, certification papers and his microchip information. My wife and I both knew from the minute we started playing with Jack in the greeting area that he was a well-cared-for puppy who was being socialized by Herman and his family. Jack had a clean coat, healthy weight and playful attitude. Jack’s final cost was also about two-thirds of what other breeders were charging (please be aware and do some on-line research on whatever breeder you choose).

We brought Jack home that day, with a “starter kit” of sorts (food, toys, a blanket and complete medical records) and our only regret is we did not have the capacity to bring home one of Jack’s siblings (we also have two cats and our house is at capacity). Our vet was impressed with Jack’s medical and immunization record. He has nearly doubled his body weight and is living his best puppy life. It didn’t take long for Jack to socialize with our family and our cats. He is playful, active and easily adapted to grooming and his first short kennel stay.

We would recommend Michigan Puppy to anyone seeking a new furry family member.
