We've been raising Shichon puppies in our own nursery for folks in Chicago Illinois for a number of years now. We are Michigan Puppy and we love finding homes in Chicago for the cute, fluffy, non-shedding Shichon puppies we raise! We raise them all at our homestead in central Michigan which is about a three-and-a-half-hour drive from Chicago IL. We've found homes for a number of our Shichons in Chicago IL and would love to find homes for more.
We're a family and we've been raising puppies since 2004. We love it! By we, I mean myself, my wife, and our four children and the puppies. My wife and I love it because it's something we can do together. Our kids love it because they get to play with super-cute puppies every single day and the puppies love it because, well, puppies love to be played with!
I am so thankful for Michigan Puppy. They brought me my new companion. And for that, I’m forever grateful. But it was the amount of information and care that really drew me to them! They were overwhelming in the amount of support they wanted to provide and that’s a great thing. And I will forever appreciate them for that.

We picked up Guava (AKA Mr.Max) on 2/5. It was hard because I fell in love with him and another sweetie. Guava though chose me. He has been the funniest little boy! Always at my feet or on my lap and talks to me like a little kid. He had no problem making himself right at home and joining my 2 English bulldogs when playing. He LOVES to play fetch already. Could not love him more : )

I purchased my Malshi (Boomer) almost a year ago in May…. He’s the son I never had! They are so nice, communicating is key for them. They let me FaceTime him throughout the process! Love this place… and now I want another son! Lol
Last summer, a tiny cutie was brought to our home! It was love at first site! We named him Cataan, which means small in Hebrew. He is full of smarts, and fun, and love! Our 7.6 lb Michigan Puppy is a wonderful addition to our family! He is a real love! Thank you Michigan Puppy! We love our Morkie so much!
Shichon puppies are sometimes called “teddy bear dogs” or “Zuchons”. They are a cross between the Shitzu and Bichon Frise breeds. They are small, usually 10-15 lbs, and have super fluffy coats which make them look bigger than they are. They are friendly, happy, and fun to play or snuggle with. They usually like kids and are quite playful which can be harder to find in smaller dog breeds. They do bark occasionally which is pretty common in smaller breeds like this. They need to be groomed regularly to avoid coat matting.
These smart little dogs love to snuggle and do great indoors. For smaller living spaces like you’ll find in Chicago Illinois neighborhoods like Logan Square, Lincoln Park, River North, Albany Park, River North, Auburn Gresham, Canaryville, and West Ridge, Shichons are a great option and wonderful companion!
